Seal Design Notes
- Seal construction
- RS sealing rings made of nitrile rubber (NBR) on both sides. Two sealed sides do not specify the number of lips on each ring.
- What it shields
- The rings help limit contaminant entry and grease escape on both sides. The factory table does not establish waterproofing, pressure-wash resistance or immersion suitability.
- Effect on speed
- Where provided, the 2RS grease-lubricated limiting speed is lower than the open version for the same base model. Use the actual model ratings, not a catalogue-wide percentage; request confirmation if the grease rating is missing.
- Lubrication
- The factory table specifies grease lubrication and provides no oil-lubricated limiting speed. This does not establish lifetime lubrication or universal incompatibility with oil.
- When to choose it
- Consider 2RS when an assembly needs NBR rings on both sides and its operating speed is compatible with the listed grease rating. Confirm grease life, maintenance needs and exposure conditions.
