Seal Design Notes
- Seal construction
- Metal shields on both sides. No rubber sealing-ring material is specified.
- What it shields
- The shields help limit dust entry and grease escape on both sides. They should not be treated as a specified water barrier.
- Effect on speed
- The listed grease-lubricated limiting speed is 100% of the open version for the same base model. Select against the actual speed in the specification table.
- Lubrication
- The factory table specifies grease lubrication and provides no oil-lubricated limiting speed. Confirm suitability with GDQV before specifying an oil-lubricated arrangement.
- When to choose it
- Consider ZZ for a grease-lubricated assembly needing shields on both sides. Confirm grease life and maintenance requirements for the operating conditions.
