Seal Design Notes
- Seal construction
- A metal shield on one side; the opposite side is open. No rubber sealing-ring material is specified.
- What it shields
- The shield helps limit dust entry and grease escape on the shielded side. The open side needs protection from the assembly; no water-resistance rating is provided.
- Effect on speed
- The listed grease-lubricated limiting speed is 100% of the open version for the same base model. Equal listed limits do not establish identical friction or running temperature.
- Lubrication
- The factory table lists both grease and oil lubrication. Check the model-specific oil speed and arrange lubricant access through the open side.
- When to choose it
- Consider Z when one side needs a shield and the open side faces a protected, lubricated space in the assembly.
